Forward Player scored the game winner with 2:13 left in the third period, as Crown Point was superior against Irish Jr. Varsity 5 - 4 at Ice Valley Centre on Saturday. Irish Jr. Varsity outscored Crown Point three to one to take the lead at the end of the first period. Crown Point failed to take the lead in the second period even though they scored one goal. Irish Jr. Varsity was up three to two, but Crown Point had other plans in the third period. In the final period, Crown Point scored three goals to Irish Jr. Varsity's 1 and took away the lead to snatch the win.
Irish Jr. Varsity's Tommy Schirmer had just 12 saves on 17 shots to suffer the loss.
Crown Point ended their losing streak of two games and ended the game with a record of 1 win and 2 losses. Irish Jr. Varsity ended the game with a record of 3-13.
